Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a multi-craft position with experience in concrete placement and finishing at D. D. Kerns Construction Company, Inc. in Covington, VA. The Concrete Finisher/Carpenter will be responsible for building forms, checking grade, and finishing concrete surfaces, such as smoothing, leveling, and applying finishes to freshly poured concrete. Also, you will need to demo and remove concrete placed by others, using equipment and jackhammers. Pay is based on experience. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screening.
Qualifications
- Experience in concrete finishing and construction of forms
- Knowledge of different types of concrete finishes and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans related to concrete finishing
- Skilled in using various concrete finishing tools and equipment
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
