Our Corporate Office (Tulsa, Oklahoma) is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join our preconstruction and estimating staff. A qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience and expertise.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Contract Administrator in the heavy highway construction industry.
- Proficiency in contract administration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Summary of Position
As a Contract Administrator for Manhattan Road and Bridge, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from initial bid preparation to contract closeout. You will collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, legal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, mitigate risks, and maintain positive working relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract administration within the construction industry, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. In addition:
- Review, analyze, and interpret contract documents, including plans, specifications, and scope of work.
- Prepare and administer all aspects of contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and executing agreements.
- Construct and execute purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Assist project management in ensuring compliance with contract terms, conditions, and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare change orders, claims, and other contract-related documentation as necessary.
- Facilitate contract closeout processes, including final payments, warranties, and documentation.
- Submit necessary post-bid documentation to the project owner.
- Maintain historical bid result database.
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor contact database.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual matters, providing guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.
