Role Description
The Director, Corporate Relations directly contributes to the mission of the Women’s Business Enterprise Council – Ohio River Valley (WBEC ORV) through effective corporate sourcing, business development and relationship management of new and existing corporate members in both the public (i.e., local government entities and universities) and private sectors. This position requires a passion for fostering diversity, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a strategic approach to increase corporate membership into the RPO within the public and private sectors.
• Serve as liaison with the Corporate Engagement Committee and WBENC to monitor and report on corporate membership growth and involvement.
• Develop and execute pricing model that results in increased revenue from sponsorship and financial involvement from corporate partners.
• Identify, coordinate, and participate in promotional activities, events, or trade shows to market WBEC ORV products or services.
• Nurture relationships and build collaborative strategies within WBEC ORV, WBENC, corporate members and women business enterprises (WBE)
• Prepare and present status reports on corporate engagement and revenue results.
• Serve as first point of contact for relationship management with new and existing corporate clients.
• Prepare and present corporate benefits to potential corporate members or onboarding of new corporate members.
• Assist with program and events to ensure corporate clients needs are met.
Collaboration:
- Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and sponsors to ensure successful collaboration and execution of programs and events.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the organization's visibility and impact.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of WBEC ORV events, workshops, and conferences.
- Collaborate with WBEC ORV Leadership, internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to communicate program, event, and initiative details effectively.
- Engage with volunteers, external partners, corporate members, and program participants to build strong relationships and support program goals.
Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain relationships with women-owned businesses, corporate partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between WBEC ORV and its members, providing support and facilitating communication.
Industry Awareness:
o Stay informed about industry trends, WBENC programming, guidelines, and market demands.
o Use insights to contribute to the development of new programs, events, and initiatives.
Other Duties:
o Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success and growth of WBEC ORV.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required.
- Demonstrated experience in Business Management, supply chain management, marketing, or related field.
- Advance level computer skills and Microsoft office including Excel, CRM experience.
- 5-7 years of demonstrated experience working in the non-profit or for-profit arena with a focus business development, sales growth, and marketing to corporations.
- A strong track record of success demonstrating long-term growth of sales, revenue and profitability targets.
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong listening and conflict resolution skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of quality.
- Ability to maintain and produce and present accurate reports to senior level staff.
- 50% travel within three (3) state region of Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia

Working Conditions:
This hybrid position has offices in Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio, with occasional local, regional travel. Evening and weekend work may be necessary for workshops, meetings, and other WBEC ORV programs.
