INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, BBVA CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING NEW YORK
This is a 12-month, full time paid internship in the Corporate & Investment Banking group (CIB). Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US - BBVA will not sponsor visas for this position.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree is a must. Quantitative & technical experience appreciated
Complete fluency in English is required with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Fluency in Spanish is a plus and certain positions will require fluency in both English and Spanish.
Basic knowledge of accounting, corporate finance, credit analysis, capital markets, banking, and macroeconomic concepts.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities/competencies:
• Fluency in English is required and fluency in Spanish is a strong plus
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Python, ideally with exposure to Time series and financial data
• Solid base in financial knowledge and interest in Global Markets
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
• Strong self-initiative and team-work
• Effectiveness in terms of coordination and follow-up
• Previous related work experience is preferred
• Ability to work well individually and in teams
• Proactive in information sharing and support of colleagues
• Ability to adapt and manage change and uncertainty
• Positive, solution-focused disposition

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $75,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary, a generous employee benefits package is offered.
