LER Techforce is currently in the need of a Failure Analysis Lab Technician to work in Auburn Hills. As a FA Lab Technician you will be responsible for the following:
Test or modify developmental or operational electrical machinery or electrical control equipment and circuitry in industrial or commercial plants or laboratories. Usually work under direction of engineers or technologists.
Tasks
- Assemble/disassemble electrical systems or lithium ion battery pack, using hand tools or measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with engineers or other personnel to identify, define, or solve problems related with battery failure analysis.
- Perform electrical testing (voltage/insulation/resistance) on battery pack/module/cells.
- Interpret test information and generate the report.
- Operate the forklift in the warehouse.
- Product/inventory check in and check out.
- Build the testing gears including tooling and harness by using the machine shop equipment.
- Maintain and organize the lab equipment, keep the lab clean and organized.
Essential Knowledge And Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel.
- Experience in electrical work.
- Experience in machine operation, including mill machine, bandsaw, squaring shear, sander, crossover vise, bench grinder etc.
- Comfortable with strenuous physical activity.
