Overview:
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Financial Planning and Reimbursement, assists in all aspects of managing the Budget function, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulations. Assists in the development of departmental operating and statistical budgets for management within stated deadlines and performs ongoing review of actual revenue and expense reports versus budget.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud System
- Work closely with Finance Leadership to improve analyses, reporting, budgets and forecasting processes.
- Provide oversight and analytical support during the operating budget processes to ensure all policies are adhered to and deadlines are met.
- Monitor the budget throughout the year by reviewing monthly comparative budget to actual reports to determine if funds have been spent as budgeted.
- Provide training to departments on use of budget software.
- Analyze and compile financial and statistical data and reports for budget, reimbursement and financial reporting.
- Assist in preparation of data for budget presentation and reports, operating and statistical reports and analyses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required.
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) experience in Financial Management in a complex healthcare system.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrates the ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Experienced with Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud System.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, reimbursement and accounts receivable.
- Ability to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires prolonged periods of sitting and use of a computer and screen viewing throughout the working day.
- Involves standing, walking, sitting, lifting and talking.
- May include some repetitive motions.
