Job description
Our client is a comprehensive Engineering/Architectural/Interior Design firm located in Florida. They are seeking an experienced, full-time, licensed Structural Engineer to work on large-scale Senior Living, Healthcare, and Multifamily projects, including both new construction and renovations. Responsibilities include overseeing assigned projects, ensuring the overall quality of all engineering efforts, and meeting client expectations within the project budget and timeline. The Structural Engineer is accountable for the complete performance of the team assigned to each project, adhering to our client's design standards, practices, and policies.
Duties:
- Demonstrated history of designing the most suitable structural systems within clients' budget and time constraints, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment on multiple projects.
- Experience with Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) on healthcare design projects.
- Proficient in collaborating with a team of professionals.
- Capable of successfully working and communicating with all levels to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated, and technically proficient mechanical engineering design solutions for a variety of project assignments.
- Actively participate in project meetings during design and construction activities to represent the company and prepare graphic and written construction documents.
- Lead or self-direct site visits to evaluate various facility types during assessments of existing mechanical-plumbing infrastructure. Ability to properly assess and take appropriate action to identify and resolve issues during design or in the field during construction.
- Experience in Commercial, Senior Living/ILF/ALF, Multifamily & High-rise; New Construction and Renovation.
- Ability to manage projects through effective prioritization and scheduling of tasks.
- Experience with Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) on healthcare design projects.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Florida P.E.
- 10 years of experience in an AE environment in structural design.
- Proven track record of designing the most appropriate structural systems.
- Experience in coordination with engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity with building systems and methods of building construction.
- Experience in Building Envelope.
- Proficient in producing Revit and AutoCAD drawings for:
- Schematic Design Drawings
- Design Development Drawings
- Construction Documents
- Coordination with multiple disciplines, including engineering and interior design.
- Software Knowledge Requirements:
- Autodesk Revit 2020 required
- Autodesk AutoCAD 2022 required
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)

Additional Notes:
- $95,000 to $125,000 annually.
