SUMMARY:
The Junior Microsoft 365 Specialist will leverage Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Teams to develop solutions that optimize and automate routine tasks. This role includes overseeing the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, assisting users, designing automated workflows, building informative dashboards, and upholding data security and compliance standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Responsibilities:
Application Development and Design:
- Use Power BI to build dashboards and reports that provide valuable business insights.
- Develop automated workflows with Power Automate to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Manage and update SharePoint sites to support team collaboration and document storage.
- Implement Teams to facilitate effective interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
System Administration and Maintenance:
- Support the management of the Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint, Teams, and associated services.
- Monitor and evaluate updates and changes to Microsoft 365 to assess their impact on staff and end users.
- Conduct basic system upkeep, including maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Manage tickets in line with departmental standards.
User Assistance and Training:
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for Microsoft 365-related issues.
- Organize training sessions and create documentation to help users effectively engage with Microsoft 365 tools.
Security and Compliance Support:
- Help enforce security policies and procedures to protect organizational data.
- Assist with data loss prevention (DLP) and other compliance-related configurations.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 services, particularly SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Experience in developing dashboards, workflows, and automations to enhance business processes.
- Basic project management abilities.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or comparable experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Microsoft 365 services.
- Proven technical skills and problem-solving aptitude.
