The Senior Manager leads sizeable client relations and communications. This passionate professional will be responsible for leading successful campaigns and securing business results with a detail-oriented project management process. In addition to account management, the SM is pivotal to the organization: contributing to new business development, business management, and team management.
THE ROLE
- Manages accounts assigned and provides the highest level of client service while directing/coaching teams. Leads client day-to-day.
- Supports the SVP in developing, growing, and sustaining long-term relationships with senior-level clients and key media
- Oversees success of client programming, including campaigns, activations, and partnerships, providing strategy, council, and direction as needed
- Works with members of the insights and creative team as well as the account team to develop strategic communications plans and comprehensive campaigns
- Supports the strategic communications planning process and leads the development of implementable ideas
- Ensures deadline and budget adherence, setting client expectations for the team; accountable for client satisfaction of all projects managed
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage projects to maintain profitability and revenue targets
- Supports the SVP with effective resource allocation
- Inspires, manages, evaluates, develops, and mentors employees
- Oversees award submission processes, including research, gathering of materials, drafting, and editing of submissions
Desired Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of work experience in public relations/communications firms
- Strong media relations expertise
- A developed sense of the new media landscape
- Exceptional client management skills, capable of building relationships with day-to-day clients and senior leaders
- Team leadership, capable of inspiring, motivating, and developing team members
- Exceptional presentation skills. Speaks concisely, can answer questions with great confidence, and can lead strategic conversations with clients
- Polished communication (written and verbal) skills - both in English and in Spanish
- Experience in the US Hispanic market preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
