Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for achieving corporate goals including product cost and quality, schedule adherence and delivery on-time to customer demand. This is a hands-on position that is responsible for maximizing daily production and driving efficiency to improve profitability. This position plays an integral part in plant operations, special projects, and has responsibility developing and maintaining motivated staff and for developing and achieving budgetary and production targets.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
- Manage and develop resources to effectively deliver revenue and product quality goals on a monthly basis with effective daily works practices and driving continuous improvement activities throughout the organization.
- Responsible for achievement of KPI’s related to shipping volume targets, on-time delivery, past due backlog, customer lead time, efficiency, utilization, and overtime premium expense.
- Own and drive continuous improvements in manufacturing metrics including quality, yields, cycle time, productivity, and cost.
- Standardize processes, systems, policies, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and develop capital equipment strategies.
- Generate current month and future months head count requirements plan.
- Support transfer of PCBA’s to low cost region to leverage internal capabilities for growing customer base.
- Drive resolution to material availability issues with planning and supply chain resources.
- Inventory handling/management and accuracy within the factory.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Provide direction, development and leadership to Production Manager, Warehouse Manager and Manufacturing Engineers.
- Coordinate, set up, and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations.
- Establish and monitor overall performance for product and quality standards.
- Implements and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure complete compliance to prescribed QMS, GMP’s and 6S processes.
- Working with your manufacturing engineers in setting / delivering labor and production quality standards
- Ensure implementation and compliance of health and safety protocol.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
- 10+ years’ experience in production with a minimum 5 years at a management level.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant discipline such as Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Due to the nature of IntelliPower’s programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in production management for mechanical assembly / final electrical and functional test. PCBA production a plus.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and ISO quality systems
- Six Sigma Black Belt expertise (or equivalent) is a plus
- Proven track record in managing a production line in an ERP managed environment.
- Ability to build teams and lead and mentor staff to achieve significant results.
- Leadership skill to lead, motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly, driving year-on-year improvement in performance metrics.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with employees, other department managers and senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
- Hands-on individual driven towards team success with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to create / manage budget, driving appropriate cost control / reduction activities.
- Knowledge of supply chain including MRP and Master Scheduling skills.
- Strong computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.) and ERP systems.
- Strong decision-making skills and results -driven approach.

The annual pay range for this position generally ranges between $130,000 - $160,000. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
