One of our clients has created a new Business Process Lead role. In this role, you will lead business process improvement efforts, providing internal consulting services to business process owners as it relates to process documentation, process improvement, process engineering and creating new processes from scratch. Works with individual business process owners and cross-functional teams to improve the consistency and quality of service delivery while lowering overall costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. This may involve collecting data, interviewing stakeholders, and mapping out workflows.
- Designs solutions to improve processes, such as developing new workflows, recommending new tools or technologies, or proposing changes to organizational structure.
- Implements process improvements, which may involve working with cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of new processes.
- Establishes metrics to measure the effectiveness of new processes and continuously monitoring performance to identify further opportunities for improvement.
- Communicates regularly with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on process improvement initiatives and their impact on business outcomes.
- Keeps up with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the organization is continuously improving and evolving its processes.
- Develop new business processes as needed from scratch
REQUIREMENTS:
- Expert knowledge of process improvement and process reengineering techniques (root cause analysis, gap analysis, business requirements, lean, Six Sigma, continuous process improvement, process reengineering, etc.).
- 5+ years of process re-engineering/consulting or other relevant experience preferred.
- Extensive and successful background in process re-engineering.
- Working with management to define/refine key performance metrics.
- Success in leading/influencing process change in large, corporate-wide change efforts preferred. This includes strategic planning for people impact; aligning project and people strategies.
- High-energy self-starter with history of successful accomplishments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven ability to influence and manage in a matrixed environment.
- Solid project management skills.
- Efficiency and quality focused.
- Able to simplify and effectively communicate complex information.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Non-engineer degrees with Six Sigma Black Belt certification and an MBA will be considered.
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
