Title: Litigation Attorney (CA License Required)

Ostaff is looking for a remote Litigation Attorney for a great client based in the Los Angeles area.
This is a fully remote direct hire position and requires an active CA license. The ideal candidate will have depositions/litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Handle all phases of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare and draft various legal documents, such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
- Client Representation: Represent clients in court and at mediation or arbitration hearings.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal advice and updates on case progress.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
- Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to reach favorable settlements for clients.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Must be a member in good standing of the California State Bar
- Experience: 3-8+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in legal research and case management.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficient in legal research tools and software.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work independently and as part of a team, and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
