Vehicle Sensor System Technician

Our technology has no boundaries! We are building the world’s most groundbreaking and state of the art compute platforms for the world to use. Our Sensor System Engineering team is responsible for design, development and evaluation of reference sensors for our products and platforms. We are seeking a great sensor system technician who can work with our Hardware, Software and System engineers to validate the quality and performance of the sensors in our products.
What you’ll be doing:
We are working with many types of sensors (Camera, Radar, Lidar, Ultrasonic, IMU...). Each sensor type has its own unique characteristics and challenges, you will have the opportunity to test them at different stages of the product development cycles.
In our team you will:
- Build experimental sensor test setups in our lab facilities or on the vehicle test track in field environment.
- Take accurate field measurements and detailed notes of data collection conditions.
- Create charts, graphs, and other visualizations to present data and generate test reports to summarize the results.
- Use software tools (scripts and applications in Linux and Windows) in our test stations and customize some commands to automate some recurring tasks.
- Diagnose the error messages to pinpoint the source of issues and track script execution to identify where problems occur.
- Craft and develop fixtures and jigs to accommodate various test stations needs (e.g., custom brackets, mounts or enclosures).
What we need to see:
- Experience in testing and debugging electronics /sensor prototypes. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- 3+ years working in sensor or relevant electronics.
- Having a solid understanding of PC systems, along with proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Experience using photography equipment (tripods, props, models, studio lighting, light meters).
- Ability to quickly pick up new technologies in fast paced environments and evolving fields.
