Engine Feature Test, Calibration and Tuning Engineer

We have a position for an engine feature test and tuning engineer for off-highway machines.
What you will be doing:
- Perform various troubleshooting and problem-solving activities, DVP&R tasks, FIRG, RPS, and FMEAs.
- Tune Combustion Controls, Engine Protection and Governor calibrations
- Diagnostic 3-Step tuning on Base Engine Subsystem Controls
- Perform Engine Performance validation on Controls Software and Calibration
- Support Installations at OEM/Distributor sites and Field Test Trips
- Support Calibration releases and integration activities
- Support various Integration and SPI Function meetings

What you'll need to be successful:
- BE/ME/Automotive engineer
- Project management experience
- Negotiation skills
- Matlab Simulink primary skill-set
- C programming experience
- Excel Macros (VBA)
- Candidates are expected to have some fundamentals of control systems with experience in tuning and calibrating customer features on engines or transmissions
- An ideal candidate would have a good understanding of vehicle hardware and systems, have project management experience, and possess great verbal and written communication.
- Good understanding & experience with Datalink protocols such as J1939 and CANC communication networks
- Ability to collect and analyze CAN Trace files
- Experience with Matlab, Simulink, CANalyzer, Calterm, and MS-Office is preferred
- Awareness and knowledge of Cummins internal tools such as C2ST, Windchill RV&S will be a plus for this role

- Capable of identifying assignable cause for issues.
