Labor Relations Manager Job Description

The Labor Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of labor relations within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to foster positive labor-management relationships, negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The Labor Relations Manager will handle employee grievances and disputes, conduct research to support effective labor practices, and collaborate with HR and management to address workforce issues. A key aspect of the role includes analyzing labor metrics and trends to provide insights for improving labor relations strategies and organizational effectiveness.
Labor Relations Manager Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, business or related field required.
- At least five years of professional experience in labor relations and human resource administration required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
