Job Description
Leading the Unit
- Provides indirect supervisory support for shift operators and motivates operations personnel to achieve unit objectives.
- Steps up for the Production Manager (Daily Execution Leader).
Change Agent
- Assists with development of unit objectives and monitors/improves unit performance in the areas of on stream time, equipment availability, and others, as necessary.
- Identifies, develops, and implements programs to improve unit safety, profitability, reliability, quality.
Business Interface
- Routinely interfaces with Production Manager (Daily Execution Leader) and Production Units to set priorities, address current issues, develop strategic plans for the unit, and set equipment run schedules.
Conduct Technical Training
- Coordinates or conducts training of shift personnel and other site personnel to ensure support and compliance with unit initiatives in the areas of unit operations, safety, process safety, reliability, environmental, and quality.
Systems Owner
- Ensures all technical and procedural systems operate properly.
- Directs the Management of Change program for the area.
Qualifications
- BS in Chemical Engineering
- 3-5 years experience in chemical production facilities
- Knowledge of process design, instrumentation, and process control applications.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing processes.
- Ability to lead in a team based environment.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous assignments.
- Strong computer skills.; verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a self-directed individual.
