Position Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced electrical engineer in the Columbus, OH area to join our expanding team and contribute to the design and management of electrical projects in the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries. In this role, you’ll be responsible for project support, including design, specification development, and procurement assistance. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and support electrical engineering requirements and construction packages for client projects.
- Manage electrical design projects, including load list development, conductor sizing, OCPD sizing, lighting design, switchgear design, estimates, and equipment specification.
- Oversee facility electrical design aspects, typically involving low voltage facility electrical distributions, backup systems, grounding, fire alarm, lighting controls, and security systems.
- Collaborate with project teams and supervise and mentor team members.
- Execute full lifecycle project support, including system design, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct site surveys and provide on-site support during installation.
- Ensure compliance with codes (NEC, IBC, NFPA 101, ASHRAE, IECC) and standards.
- Lead project teams developing deliverables in AutoCAD and Revit (engineers will work in/with this software as well)

Qualifications:
- Education: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (EIT preferred, PE preferred/optional)
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or consulting environments.
- Ability to manage medium-scale electrical projects, including client coordination, electrical system design, and bid package preparation.
- Distribution Design: Sizing and specifying equipment, conductors, and protection for LV and MV facility electrical distribution.
- LV Systems Design: Ability to design and specify lighting, fire alarm signaling, security, access control, and other low-voltage systems typical in MEP bid packages.
- Project Management: Ability to schedule design and construction activities, estimate constructed cost using software tools.
- Strong leadership, relationship management, organizational planning, and project management skills.
- Ability to influence clients, suppliers, and peers to adopt engineering “best practices.”
- Familiarity or experience with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit a plus.
- Flexibility to travel to external manufacturing sites primarily for surveys and meetings (10-20% travel).
