Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an Enterprise Business Analyst for a contract position with a local municipality.

This is a temporary contract with a pay rate of $36/hour to $42/hour, depending upon qualifications, and a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The contract is essentially open-ended and has the potential to convert to permanent employment, if it proves to be a mutual fit for both sides. Work is performed both remotely (3-4 days/week) and in-office in Durham, NC (1-2 days/week).

As an Enterprise Business Analyst, you would be interacting with business unit representatives regarding IT initiatives, performing independent analysis, and writing business cases. This will require a strong balance of people skills and technical skills, as well as excellent initiative.

Responsibilities Include:

Lead, engage, and coordinate with multi-departmental teams to produce better business outcomes and communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.
Identify automation opportunities, business opportunities, and analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements.
Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance.
Help administer various communication, productivity, and reporting tools.
Collaborate with supervisor and leadership team on department roadmap planning and prioritization.
Produce PowerPoint slides.
Deliver clear, concise, and persuasive oral presentations (in person and/or remotely) and adapt content and delivery based on audience, subject matter expertise, and desired outcomes.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a directly related field.
Two years of related experience.
Business Analyst Certification.
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, and cloud-based communication and productivity applications.
Knowledge and experience working with emerging technology and technology systems typically used in local government.
Experience engaging stakeholders, facilitating meetings, and seeking feedback.
Experience working on long-term projects, maintaining project schedules, and managing project risk.
Experience identifying, proposing, and facilitating improvements to business processes.
